What is a pipeline bubble?
What is in a pipeline stage that is “executing” a bubble?


A pipeline bubble is one or more pipeline stages that do not contain useful instructions; i.e., they contain NOPs or other side-effect-free instructions. 
Bubbles typically are introduced to accomodate various types of pipeline hazzards.
