JOY OF CHRISTMAS

This is a very interesting email that I have received and I would like to share with you all

Once again I want to greet you in the blessed Name of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords - OUR IMMANUEL (=God with us) AND OUR JESUS (= Savior).

It was because God loved the world so very very much (as we learn from John 3:16) that "The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, Who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:14)

During the past year I, and no doubt many of you, have had personal trials as well as much saddening news such as Longfellow describes in these words:

"...There is no peace on earth," I said "For hate is strong, and mocks the song of peace on earth good will to men." Have those words ever expressed your frustrations? They have for me.

BUT I would never want to stop with that third verse of his carol for the next verse brings us hope and confidence:

"...God is not dead, nor does He sleep; the wrong shall fail, the right prevail, with peace on earth, good will to men."

We who know Jesus as our personal Savior and Lord can rejoice even when circumstances are rough for "we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him..." Romans 8:28

Long ago in the open fields near Bethlehem an angel said to some poor shepherds, "I bring you GOOD NEWS OF GREAT JOY"

May He whose birth brought such great joy to Mary, Joseph, and those shepherds that night now bring GREAT JOY TO YOU THIS CHRISTMAS AND THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AHEAD.

  1. STUCK AT THE AIRPORT FOR CHRISTMASDecember 28, 2010 at 9:24 PM

    I'M STUCK HERE
Some passengers spent a second night stranded at airports
The north-eastern US is trying to get back to normal after blizzards left tens of thousands of air passengers stranded and many people without power.
Flights have now resumed into and out of New York, Boston and Philadelphia.
But many passengers were expected to be stranded until the end of the week after some 7,000 flights were cancelled over the busy holiday travel period.

Forecasters are now predicting milder weather for the rest of the week.

With many flights already expected to be nearly full between Christmas and New Year, airline industry experts said it would be difficult for companies to accommodate all the stranded passengers in the New York area quickly enough.

"This is a bad time for a blizzard to hit the east coast," airline consultant Darryl Jenkins told the Associated Press news agency.

American Airlines spokesman Ed Martelle said his company could resume a normal flight schedule by Wednesday, but he was unable to say how long stranded passengers might have to wait for a flight.

"Any airline scheduler will tell you it's like playing with a jigsaw puzzle where all the pieces keep changing shape," Mr Martelle added.
